Stylised Botanical Drawing Workshop at West Elm, London

A huge thank you to everyone who joined up for our Stylised Botanical Drawing Workshop at West Elm, Westfield London! We had a fantastic afternoon experimenting with drawing and watercolour techniques taking inspiration from fresh florals.

The 3 hour workshop included a goodie bag of black fineliners, sketchbook and pocket watercolour set, an ideal art set to take on your travels and creative adventures. We started by exploring various line making techniques for drawing the flowers, experimenting with different approaches and how the pens differed and suited individual styles.

We then added watercolour using vibrant pops of colour to complement the line drawings, before moving onto a final piece (after tea and biscuits). It was great to see everyone’s individual styles evolve and so much beautiful drawing!

It’s also been fantastic to see work develop further over on our facebook page (thanks for sharing!)

Thanks again to West Elm for being great hosts!
